New video: The fight for justice after oil spill in Peru

1 year ago, Spanish fossil fuel company Repsol spilled 12,000 barrels of oil off the coast of Peru.

It contaminated an area the size of Paris – and they still haven’t cleaned it up.

As the Council negotiations on a due diligence legislation take place and the climate obligations are decided, we wanted to give a reminder of the impunity in which fossil fuel companies operate and the extent of their damage.

That’s why we worked with a team in Peru to produce this video for social media about the Repsol oil spill.

It’s past time for a strong law that obliges companies to put the planet above profit. Show your support by sharing the video and emailing your minister to demand a strong law.
